Dr. Madi Bowman

PT, DPT, Cert. DN
Physical Therapist

I grew up in Eaton, OH, with my two younger brothers and parents. I went to Eaton High School and was apart of many organizations and sports teams. I played soccer and basketball and was on the track team all four years of high school and participated in school government, marching and concert band, and the Future Career and Community Leaders of America. I played club soccer for multiple clubs in the Dayton area year-round! Playing sports growing up shaped who I am today. After graduating high school in 2016, I attended Defiance College for my undergraduate degree and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science with a specialization in Strength and Conditioning in 2020.

While at DC, my passion for sports continued, and I played soccer and was on the track and field team all four years. While I was very busy with sports, my academics remained a priority. I always made time for my studies and wanted to ensure I was on the right track for graduate school. When I first started at DC I was unsure of what I wanted to get my degree in, but I knew it had to be something in the medical field. I also knew I had an affinity for human anatomy, a huge desire for sports and anything competitive, and a hankering for helping people. When researching career paths during my first year at DC, physical therapy fell right into my lap, and I immediately fell in love. From there, I worked my tail off to get into PT school. I decided to attend PT school at the University of Findlay to stay local to northwest Ohio. In 2023, I graduated from UF with my doctorate in physical therapy.

I have my doctorate in physical therapy, which took 7 years to get! I have an additional certification in dry needling, which was 54 continuing education hours.

Core values that drive my life: resiliency, hard work, determination, and compassion.

My favorite quote: “Winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing.” -Vince Lombardi

One thing patients have to deal with that I want to help them fix is their pain! I want to help them figure out why they are having pain, help them modify activities to aid with their pain, and help them function better.

I enjoy treating any sort of knee condition. I struggled with knee pain during my athletic years, so I have taken a special interest in this area, even ways to prevent future injuries in the knees with younger athletes! I also really enjoy when someone is motivated and excited to get better through physical therapy!

I enjoy the diversity of our patient population. We have people of all ages that come into our clinic! I also really enjoy all of the friendly people we have on our staff; it makes working just a little bit more fun!

When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and family! My husband, Andrew, and I met while attending Defiance College, and we now enjoy life together while living in Findlay, OH. We love exploring local restaurants together and trying new things like playing pickleball at our local courts or cooking a new dish together. We also enjoy hiking and attending concerts together. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies/TV, working out, occasionally crafting and baking, and competing in a powerlifting competition every once in a while. I enjoy challenging myself both physically and mentally, so I am always looking for new and fun things to inspire me!
